Built-Rite Excavating has been around since 2012. Prior to starting his excavation company, owner Wayne Troyer worked in construction for 16 years and served as a general contractor.

Yes. Built-Rite Excavating is both insured and bonded.

No. Built-Rite Excavating is willing to work in collaboration with other companies on your excavation project.
Do you have your own equipment?
Yes. Built-Rite Excavating owns an excavator, a bulldozer, a skid steer, a mini hoe, a dump truck, and a compactor.
How wide is your service area?
Built-Rite Excavating provides excavation services across Southern Ohio from Columbus to Bridgeport.
Do you do same day visits?

Do you do any residential excavation work?
Yes. Built-Rite Excavating provides excavation services for both residential and commercial projects.
Do you install septic systems?
Yes. Along with the excavation work required, Built-Rite Excavating will also install your septic system.
Do you clean ponds?
Yes. Along with pond excavation services, Built-Rite Excavating also offers pond cleaning services.
Do you offer any hardscapes?
No. Built-Rite Excavating primarily provides excavation services. Any hardscape work will require a landscaping company.
Following demolition and land clearing jobs, will Built-Rite Excavating clean up the debris?
Built-Rite Excavating will haul all debris to appropriate dump sites following demolition and land clearing jobs.
Is my home project too small for you?
No. Built-Rite Excavating provides residential excavation services for homes of all sizes.
Are municipal projects too big for you?
Built-Rite Excavating will consider any size project. Please contact Wayne Troyer for a free site evaluation to discuss your project.
Where will the dirt go?
Built-Rite Excavating will loose excess dirt on site as long as it improves the property. Beyond that, it will be hauled off as needed.

How do I prepare for an excavation project?

Should utility lines be marked before Built-Rite Excavating arrives?
Built-Rite Excavating uses Ohio Utilities Protection Services (OUPS) as required by state law and will be responsible for making sure your utility lines are marked and avoided throughout the duration of the project.
I am building a new house. is grading necessary?
Site prep for a new home is very important. Most home builders do not cover services such as site grading, drives, and septic systems.
Do I need a permit for a small yard grading job?
Most of the time, a permit is not necessary. It is always safe to check with local codes as you consider moving forward with the project.
What are some signs I need a new septic system?
You may need a new septic system if you discover wet spots in your yard with gray water at the surface or any sewage back-up in your home.
